(Praise the young and they will flourish)

The goal of the GAA Albany Rebels Youth Program is to engage boys and girls in the action-packed and fun-filled experience of the traditional Gaelic Games that has captured the hearts of youth, families, and people of all ages for generations, in Ireland and around the world.
More than just playing a team sport, GAA organizes youth into dynamic clubs that bring youth and families together to develop friendships, build social ties to the community, and celebrate the thrill of the sport.
The goal for 2025 is to build a vibrant new GAA Youth Program by recruiting youth and children
to form new Albany Rebels youth teams in New York State’s Capital Region.
Youth players, boys and girls ages 7-17, will join teams to learn Gaelic football and hurling.
Youth teams play one another locally and have opportunities to play other youth teams in the
region and participate in regional tournaments.
Youth work with trained coaches learning age-appropriate skills.
Youth participate in annual Cúl camps, learning basic skills, improving techniques, enhancing
teamwork, promoting safety, while increasing physical and mental health and fitness.
Youth engage in healthy competition to bring out the best of each player while developing
strong friendships.
Older teens (ages 16 and 17) have the opportunity to train with the adult teams.
Be part of the GAA Youth, connecting young players and youth athletes in a growing network of GAA clubs throughout the US and around the world.
